Department of Orthodontics & Oral Facial Genetics

The Department of Orthodontics and Oral Facial Genetics is seeking applicants at the rank of assistant or associate professor. This is a clinical-track position that will provide tremendous opportunity for professional growth and impact on the orthodontic training offered by the department. The duties of this position will include a primary focus on didactic and clinical instruction within the post-doctoral orthodontic curriculum. As a department dedicated to excellence in academic and clinical instruction, collaborative and innovative research, utilization of best practices with current and emerging technology, and patient-centered care, the successful candidate must be able to complement a team environment and have a vibrant commitment to professional service. Scholarly activities are required. This position also contains the potential for future leadership/administrative opportunities.

Minimum qualifications include completion of a DDS/DMD or equivalent dental degree and must have a Master’s Degree or a certificate in Orthodontics from a program accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation and be Board eligible. It is preferred that the candidate is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and/or is dual-trained in another specialty or a PhD, as well as have prior experience in an orthodontic educational setting. The successful appointee must qualify for an Indiana Dental License. Rank and salary will be based on the applicant’s credentials and experience.
