Fixed Term Clinical Track Associate or Full Professor
The University of North Carolina invites applicants to apply for a fixed term Clinical Track Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Periodontology, Endodontics, and Dental Hygiene at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. Responsibilities include participating in teaching at the pre-doctoral and graduate Endodontic levels; participating in research and publishing in peer reviewed journals; participating in duties consistent with school and university requirements for performance, scholarship; and participating in the Dental Faculty Practice.
The Adams School of Dentistry, established in 1950 and made possible by an Act of the North Carolina General Assembly in 1949, is now part of a dynamic Health Science campus! The school provides oral health care to more than 90,000 patients each year and provides additional in-kind services totaling more than $3.6M annually through four student-led free dental clinics and other charitable care events. We are one of six health science schools (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Public Health) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and we are the first dental school in the state of North Carolina. The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Department of Periodontology, Endodontics, and Dental Hygiene is one large department housing three unique disciplines. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the human dental pulp and periradicular tissues. Its study and practice encompass the basic and clinical sciences including the biology of the normal pulp and the etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions.
