Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) seeks candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track, in-person faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Division of Oral Pathology. TUSDM is located on the Tufts Health Sciences campus in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The position is available effective immediately. 

Position overview:

The faculty member will participate in clinical and didactic teaching of both pre- and post-doctoral students in one of the nation’s largest dental schools. Other activities include active involvement in the school’s biopsy service, participation in scholarly activities and public health/community outreach, and the opportunity to practice clinical oral pathology. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in the school’s continuing education programs in oral and maxillofacial pathology. 

 

Qualifications

Requirements include a DMD/DDS degree or equivalent and a certificate in oral and maxillofacial pathology from a CODA-accredited advanced graduate training program. Eligibility for dental licensure in Massachusetts and board eligibility by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology are required. Eligibility for full licensure and current board-certification are preferred.
