Position Summary
The Department of Oral Biology, School of Dental Medicine, University at Buffalo, has an opening in the laboratory of Dr. Rose-Anne Romano for a self-motivated and independent Research Technician II. This individual will work closely with other members of the research team to investigate transcriptional control mechanisms in oral epithelial cells during development and in regenerative states.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in life sciences with some practical knowledge of the techniques listed:

  • Mammalian cell culture work, PCR, western blotting, immunocytochemistry, mouse dissection and harvesting of mouse tissues

Must be able to work independently in a team environment.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Good work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Science
General experience in molecular biology techniques and mouse handling
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills

Physical Demands
Salary Range $28,181 – $40,000
Work Hours
9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

37.5 hours per week
