The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time, appointment stream (non-tenure) faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry/Comprehensive Care. The faculty rank and salary will depend on experience and qualifications. Primary responsibilities will be focused in the faculty practice, providing dental care to the private patients of University Dental Health Services (UDHS).
Even though UDHS is closely affiliated with the School of Dental Medicine, it is a separate non-profit corporation that is both physically and operationally separate from the school. As such, dental students never perform patient care services within UDHS. UDHS’ goal is to provide the highest quality primary and specialty patient care, while actively supporting the academic, research, and service missions of the School of Dental Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh.
All applicants must have a DDS or DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a current dental license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry. Preference will be given to those who have previously been credentialed with the Medicaid and Medicare plans, as well as those with established a NPI number and a CAQH ProView profile.
To apply please go to join.pitt.edu, select Faculty Positions and search 21003499. Please upload a curriculum vitae, and a statement describing interest in the position, qualifications and experience. The search committee will begin reviewing applications upon receipt. Only applicants who appear best qualified will be invited for a personal interview.
