Job Purpose
The College of Dental Medicine at the University of Sharjah is seeking a well-qualified candidate for a full-time position in Prosthodontics. The suitable applicant should have a proven record of postgraduate teaching and research, as the College develops its taught postgraduate education and forges a research culture and aspires to be the leading dental school in the Gulf region and the world.
Main accountabilities & expectations
- It is essential that the appointee has extensive experience in implantology and digital dentistry.
- The applicant needs to have a strong Scopus H Index and be a proven researcher.
- The appointee will provide didactic and clinical training to postgraduate students in the specialty of prosthodontics and supervise their research projects.
- The applicant will also be involved in undergraduate teaching and curriculum development for this discipline.
- In addition, the appointee will participate and collaborate in one of the 3 multidisciplinary research groups, Wound Healing and Oral Diagnostics, Biomaterials and Biomimetics, and Microbiota.
- Selected candidates are expected to provide clinical services at the University of Sharjah's Center of Excellence and other community activities.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in business in both Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in MS office applications.
- BDS or DDS, and PhD or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Postgraduate training and experience in the discipline of Prosthodontics.
- Experience in postgraduate teaching and clinical supervision.
- Proven record of research.
- Applicant must hold a full valid dental licence in Prosthodontics in the country of recruitment.
- Applicant must be eligible for UAE Ministry of Health dental license.
