Position Overview

Marquette University School of Dentistry invites applications for a clinical/tenure track faculty position in Special Needs & Geriatrics. Starting date flexible.

The school is serving the community on its main campus and community-based clinics in Milwaukee and through outreach clinics across the state of Wisconsin.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for teaching didactic and clinical content related to the clinical management and care for Geriatric Dentistry and Special Needs adult patients at the predoctoral and postgraduate levels. Duties include clinical supervision of both predoctoral students and postgraduate students as appropriate and providing clinical care and consultations for patients with special needs and geriatric considerations.
 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high quality research.
 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree. Applicants must hold a valid dental license in some state or jurisdiction and be eligible for a regular license or faculty license in the State of Wisconsin. Completion of a postgraduate general dentistry training (AEGD/GPR) from a CODA accredited program preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience, and a work history that includes patient care in the areas highlighted in this position.
