Dr. Mitchell Lipp is Director of Predoctoral Orthodontics. In 2001, he developed the first competency-based course at our College, which continues to be a model for research and scholarship. In 2004, he implemented a pioneering integrated curriculum in clear aligner therapy. Dr. Lipp is a passionate advocate of new methods and ideas in teaching. He co-founded and directs EduTrack, a concentration for postdoctoral residents and fellows exploring teaching and learning. He is currently involved in projects involving feedback, communication, test enhanced learning, eLearning, and mentoring. He is a commissioner of the ADA Commission on Continuing Education Provider Recognition, an executive member in the NYU Dentistry Faculty Council, Representative to the ADEA Council of Faculties, and NYU Dentistry Coordinator for the ADEA Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program. Dr. Lipp has served as Councilor of the ADEA section on Orthodontics, Chair of the NYU Dentistry Curriculum Committee, and Chair of the NYU Dentistry Academy of Distinguished Educators. Dr. Lipp is a a graduate of the ADEA Leadership Institute. He has presented nationally and his work appears in peer-reviewed journals.
