My research focuses on enhancing our molecular understanding of the HPV16 life cycle, to ultimately identify potential anti-viral targets. During my career, my focus has been on high risk HPVs; the viral life cycle and techniques specialized to investigate HPV propagation. Specifically, I study the interactions between viral proteins, including viral DNA binding protein E2 and oncoproteins E6 and E7, and host DNA damage and innate immune response signaling, and how these interactions impact viral genome integrity and replication throughout the viral life cycle.
