Expertise: Catharina is interested in the microbiology and disinfection of root canal dentine relevant to disinfection of the root canals and root end cavities prepared in apical surgery. She is also involved in implant microbiology as part of the Oral Implantology Research Theme.

As a side line she invests time on new instrumentation devices in aiding infected but not affected carious dentine
